In 2018 — the American Society of Travel Agents updated their name, dropping “Agents” and replacing it with “Advisors” to become the American Society of Travel Advisors — in an effort to better reflect their role in today’s modern travel world.  Whatever you call them — ASTA as they’re still known is the worlds’s largest association of travel professionals, advocating for travel agents/advisors, the travel industry and the traveling public.  In short, their mission is to facilitate the business of selling travel through effective representation, shared knowledge and the enhancement of professionalism and they enjoy the support of top travel industry companies.

During our live national broadcast of America’s #1 Travel Radio Show on 9 September 2023, almost a year to the day since his last appearance on-air with us, we reconnected with ASTA CEO and Show Friend Zane Kerby for the latest “Chief Travel Leader” conversation portion of our program.  From discussing their just completed Caribbean Showcase at the Sandals / Beaches property on Turks & Caicos, to discussing current travel trends and happenings, our upcoming travels to Hawaii for the special “Let’s Go America! Tour” – Maui along with getting his thoughts on A.I. technology and its impact on the future of travel agents/advisors — you can hear our wide-ranging and always engaging conversation that aired across the USA via our now 530+ weekly radio stations airing RMWorldTravel with Robert & Mary Carey and Rudy Maxa here —
