Louisville — aka “Derby City” or “Bourbon City” or “The 502” and some others is located in the 15th State in our nation — Kentucky.  It’s the State’s largest city, and if you haven’t visited Louisville, you’ve missed out on a terrific American destination and need to go.  Certainly famed Churchill Downs is perhaps the best known attraction, but there’s also the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, Muhammad Ali Center, Louisville Mega Cavern, Kentucky Derby Museum, Louisville Zoo, Frazier History Museum and others.  Louisville is also home to the Kentucky State Fair, Louisville University and the Urban Bourbon Experience & Trail.  If you’re seeking a great weekend getaway location, a place to vacation this Summer of Fall, or simply something different — Louisville has you covered!

On Kentucky Derby Saturday, when the world still didn’t know if favored Fierceness, Sierra Leone or Forever Young would win, show or place — only to all be upset by 18-1 winner Mystik Dan, during our live national broadcast of America’s #1 Travel Radio Show on 4 May 2024, we decided to get a first-hand report on Louisville with their Tourism EVP Doug Bennett.

Now that the program has been broadcast via satellite to our national network of 575+ weekly stations airing RMWorldTravel with Robert & Mary Carey and Rudy Maxa across the USA, you can hear the interview again via the archived audio here, by clicking on the play arrow immediately following this text …
