As the clear leader in our sector of the Travel World with the ability to impact so many travelers nationwide, America’s #1 Travel Radio Show is such a diverse program covering all travel sectors and talking “Everything & Anything in the World of Travel”…  Now heard on nearly 610 weekly radio stations across the USA, via both a live 2-hour weekly long form program and M-F Daily Travel Commentary, up to 8x’s per year our hosts Robert & Mary Carey agree to take the program out of their New York City area studio and descend on a location of interest for a big “Let’s Go America! Tour”…  These special events culminate with a live remote broadcast from the destination, and they’re filled with an array of happenings from the busy daily itineraries that connect The Careys with different sides of the locations they visit.  These are typically locales beyond the brochure or easily found activities on a website.  The purpose of each big “Let’s Go America! Tour” is to educate/entice/empower show fans and followers to travel — to get people out from behind the desk, off the sofa, out of their comfort zone and most importantly — out and about experiencing/enjoying the world!

For the latest edition of our big “Let’s Go America! Tour” series, working in concert with show partner, Hilton Grand Vacations, a travel industry leader that’s been aligned with RMWorldTravel with Robert & Mary Carey and Rudy Maxa for a number of years now, The Careys returned to a State that has significant meaning to them — Virginia — and the Virginia Beach area.

Virginia Beach is unlike other east coast beach destinations, and its unique topography has a lot to do with that.  Go just two blocks from the pristine beach and you’ll find yourself starting to be surrounded by trees, and go a little further and a forest will surround you.  Virginia Beach is where the Atlantic Ocean and the Chesapeake Bay meet, and the locals like to say it’s a place where you can “Live the Life.”  Also within close proximity is Norfolk — home to the World’s Largest Naval Base, as well as Newport News and even Williamsburg.  Whether you call it Hampton Roads, Tidewater or the great Virginia Beach area, the destination is filled with an abundance of activities to satisfy every type of traveler.  Our hosts of America’s #1 Travel Radio, Robert & Mary Carey, were happy to return to an area they’ve enjoyed a number of times over the years, and for this particular big “Let’s Go America! Tour” – Virginia Beach, the busy daily itinerary had them out and about experiencing many aspects and activities in the area.  From walking the historic streets of Colonial Williamsburg, climbing to the top of the Old Cape Henry Lighthouse, exploring the USS Wisconsin battleship, seeing a number of the 35,000 objects that span 5,000 years at the Chrysler Museum of Art, strawberry picking in Pungo, venturing around the 130 acres of the Military Aviation Museum that features iconic “Warbirds,” dining Oceanfront, joining the morning show host on-air at local affiliate AM 790 WNIS, taking in several concerts and beachfront festivals and more — it was a week filled with adventure, fun and sun!  If you’ve never traveled to Virginia Beach, make it a destination that you go experience…and if it’s been a while since your last visit — the area is ready to welcome you back.

To hear an archive of the national radio broadcast we affectionally call the “Fastest 2 Hours in Travel” that was transmitted from Hilton Grand Vacations Ocean Beach Club and Oceanaire Resort via satellite across the USA to our network of 600+ weekly stations — simply click on the play arrows immediately below this text…
