It was back on May 4th, 2019 during our live national broadcast that we first introduced Kevin Fedarko along with his outdoor enthusiast friend Pete McBride to the nation, as we discussed their trek hiking the entire length of The Grand Canyon that totaled 750 miles.  That adventure has now been documented by Kevin in a new book “A Walk In The Park: A True Story of a Spectacular Misadventure in The Grand Canyon”…  As America’s #1 Travel Radio Show has grown considerably since we initially covered this inspirational feat, we decided to check-in with Kevin during the latest installment of the “Personal Connection” segment to discuss what he’s chronicled in the book, hear some of his big take-aways from the experience and ways the journey as well as ways the Silence & Stillness has shaped him.

Now that RMWorldTravel with Robert & Mary Carey and Rudy Maxa has been transmitted across the USA via satellite and aired on our 585+ weekly radio stations, you can access the full interview from our July 13th 2024 live national broadcast that’s been archived here by simply clicking on the play arrow immediately following this text …

About 40 people have ever hiked the entire length of the 750 miles or so of The Grand Canyon, and Pete McBride & Kevin Fedarko are two of them.  Pete’s an award-winning photographer, while Kevin is a best-selling author — and this trek combined their talents to capture never before seen photography of a place they call “America’s open-air cathedral” and led to both a book (The Grand Canyon: Between River and Rim) and a film (Into the Canyon).  During our live broadcast of RMWorldTravel on 4 May 2019, both Pete & Kevin joined us on-air to discuss their challenging adventure, and discuss their perspective on ways to best visit The Grand Canyon, as it celebrates 100 years of being a National Park in 2019.  You can hear the full interview that aired across our national network of 410+ affiliates and is now archived here by clicking on the arrow below …
