Austin is a different type of Texas.  It’s not exactly a place where anything goes, but in Austin they invite you to simply come as you are.  We initially checked-in on the city as the world was reemerging and working its way back from the pandemic in early 2021, and certainly a lot has changed in the 37 months that have transpired since.  So for the latest installment of our “Destination Spotlight” series, during our live national broadcast of America’s #1 Travel Radio Show on 24 February 2024, we reconnected with Tom Noonan, CEO of Visit Austin for an update on the area.  During our conversation we discussed some of the big events happening annually in Austin, the continued growth in the area as folks relocate there from California, Illinois, New York and elsewhere, the influence of Elon Musk on Austin, its vibrant live music scene, as well as the plethora of things you can do in the city during a visit.  Now that the program has transmitted via satellite to the now 575 weekly stations airing RMWorldTravel with Robert & Mary Carey and Rudy Maxa across the USA, an archive is saved here for you to access anytime/anywhere in .mp3 format …

During our live broadcast of America’s #1 Travel Radio Show on 16 January 2021, we focused on the Violet Crown City, located in the 28th State in our Nation, that was admitted to the Union back in 1845.  Tom Noonan, the CEO of Visit Austin, joined us on-air to discuss what makes this city popular with travelers.  In addition to a vibrant tech culture, Austin is home to the University of Texas, is known as a “foodie” city, features great parks, river access, hiking and biking trails — as well as being a place for live music and a fun nightlife.  Whether your travel is for personal or business, and you’re looking for a manageable place that will certainly keep you engaged — check out Austin, Texas.  To hear the full interview that ran across our national network of 460+ weekly affiliates airing RMWorldTravel with Robert & Mary Carey and Rudy Maxa, click on the play arrow below …
