After a 10 year alliance with another luxury cruise operator, Robert & Mary Carey made the decision to jump ship and partner with Regent Seven Seas Cruises as the exclusive ocean cruise partner for America’s #1 Travel Radio Show.  Additionally, they aligned Regent’s sister-brand, Oceania Cruises, with another popular program their company syndicates – The Rick Burgess Show.

Since the partnership began less than 6 months ago, The Careys have rapidly assimilated with the Regent team and engaged with the Oceania team surrounding the launch of their newest ship, Oceania Allura.  Back in November, traveling with Regent aboard their Seven Seas Splendor ship, the big “Let’s Go America! Tour” – New York City to Miami served as a high-profile kick-off to this new relationship, and then in January as part of supercharging our America 250 celebrations Robert & Mary delivered an exclamation point to our affiliated AM & FM stations and listeners nationwide, traveling between Miami and Los Angeles not by plane, train or automobile but instead by Regent’s newest ship — Seven Seas Grandeur — for the big “Let’s Go America! Tour” – Miami to Los Angeles that had them broadcasting live from the Panama Canal and Cabo San Lucas.

During the live national broadcast of America’s #1 Travel Radio Show on April 25th 2026, The Careys connected on-air with the leader of Regent and Oceania, Jason Montague, for an extended “Chief Travel Leader” conversation.  Jason’s career dates back to the start of Oceania Cruises, and he was instrumental in the acquisition of Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Oceania Cruises by Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. 12 years ago for more than $3 Billion.  He also served as Regent’s CEO for more than 6 years.  After a brief departure, he returned in February 2025 to serve as Chief Luxury Officer for both Regent and Oceania — as he continues to direct the evolution of their luxury travel and substantial growth via new ships and industry leading offerings.  Robert & Mary discussed all of this as well as what differentiates the two distinctive brands, why he sees the luxury sector of travel continuing to flourish, key company partnerships, how both brands will get bigger but stay focused on intimate travel experiences, the impacts of  “Operation Epic Fury” and more.
