Raleigh, North Carolina is an area of our country we unequivocally say is worthy of your travel dollars.  When was your last trip to North Carolina’s Capital City?  If it’s been a few years, it’s time to return…  If you’ve never visited, put it on your list of places to visit and GO!  What we appreciate about Raleigh is it’s still a close-knit community, but you’ll find so much of the culture and sophistication that’s commonplace in larger cities.  Yes there are many colleges in the area, and we say that helps keep infusing new “entrepreneurial” energy into the area — but you’ll also find small farms and ranches, cheese producers and more.  The city hosts many musical festivals, you’ll find many outdoor parks and such a wide array of options for recreation.  Sports is clearly big in engaging travelers and locals alike — plus the food scene is outstanding, while its museums are terrific.

It was over 6 1/2 years ago that we first showcased Raleigh, and during our live national broadcast of America’s #1 Travel Radio Show on September 14th 2024 we decided it was time for a check-in.

Now that the program has been transmitted over satellite and aired across the USA via the 585+ weekly radio stations that broadcast RMWorldTravel with Robert & Mary Carey and Rudy Maxa, you can access the “Destination Spotlight” interview again with VisitRaleigh CEO Dennis Edwards that’s been archived here — simply by clicking on the play arrow immediately following this text …
