For our 20th installment of the RMWorldTravel Connection “Destination Spotlight” we focus on the 50th State in our nation, to help share the natural beauty and adventure of the Island of Hawaii — aka “The Big Island.”  If you think you know “Hawaii” — because you’ve been to the Islands of Oahu, Maui or Kauai, well you don’t really know Hawaii.  The Island of Hawaii features 10 of the worlds 14 climate zones — and all of the islands in the Hawaiian chain can fit into just the Mauna Loa surface area of the Big Island.  This lush island offers diverse activities for visitors, and with the world’s most active volcano continuing to erupt, you can literally watch new earth form before your eyes.  From beaches to snow, thick rain forest to untouched volcanic rock fields, Kona coffee farms to pineapple and macadamia nut plantations, you haven’t experienced Hawaii until you’ve visited the actual Island of Hawaii.  Here’s a link to our discussion with the Executive Director of the Island of Hawaii tourism — Ross Birch …
