Back in late February Bill Welch and Kera Passante had set-off on their ambition to hike the nearly 2200 mile Appalachian Trail.  The weather was cold and the trek ahead was challenging, but neither would compare to what they’d encounter while trying to accomplish their goal as the Coronavirus pandemic took hold of the nation.  Hiking in the woods would seem to be a perfect place to social distance but word travels slowly on the trail and they did need to replenish supplies, find places to shower and engage with others as situations arose.  During our live broadcast of RMWorldTravel with Robert & Mary Carey and Rudy Maxa on 17 October 2020, now heard on 440+ weekly affiliates across the nation, we caught-up with Bill and Kera in Tennessee as they were now engaged in another outdoor adventure, biking across the country, to hear from them how they managed to successfully complete their Appalachian Trail feat — despite the circumstances they encountered caused by the virus.  You can now hear again the full interview that’s been archived from our “Personal Connection” segment of America’s #1 Travel Radio Show by clicking on the play arrow below …
