The “Personal Connection” segment of America’s #1 Travel Radio Show was created to share the transformational aspects of travel, ways travel has a meaningful impact on life, and the important connections that we all have to travel.

Robert & Mary met Craig Richard back in January during the big “Let’s Go America! Tour” – Miami to Los Angeles, as he performed aboard Regent’s Seven Seas Grandeur ship.  At first they thought they were simply attending his evening musical performance in the Constellation Theater, where Craig would be playing the Saxophone, playing the Guitar and more.  And that is partially what happened…  But between the various songs he performed, he also opened up and shared some of his background including the devastating story of how he shattered his leg in a severe fall while training to climb El Capitan, and how he crawled throughout the night to safety.

Craig is an example of the caliber and diverse people you meet when traveling with Regent Seven Seas, and during the live national broadcast of America’s #1 Travel Radio Show on May 30th 2026, The Careys invited him to join them live on-air and share his story with the nation, while also discussing his music, love of travel and more.
