On 18 August 2018, during the live broadcast of RMWorldTravel with Robert & Mary Carey and Rudy Maxa, we shared “Destination Spotlight” #29, turning our focus to the 11th State in our nation, commonly known as The Empire State, to showcase the historic city of Saratoga. The locals refer to the area as a place for Health, History and Horses — but we’d add our own “h” descriptor of “‘happiness” from all the enjoyment we’ve experienced there over the years. From their charming and bustling downtown that’s filled with commerce, many options for the arts, a lovely park, the many natural springs in the area, and the nation’s oldest race track — Saratoga Race Course, a visit to Saratoga will bring delightful culinary options, an abundance of outdoor activities, contemporary accommodations mixed with quaint inns and spas, and an opportunity to unwind and feel like you’ve stepped back in time a bit, without leaving the the trappings of our modern lives.
