Our “Destination Spotlight” #30 episode was broadcast on 25 August 2018, during the live broadcast of RMWorldTravel with Robert & Mary Carey and Rudy Maxa.  And we directed our attention to Nashville, located in the 16th State in our nation, known to many as the as The Volunteer State.  Nashville is commonly referred to as ‘Music City USA’  —  but if you only associate this vibrant city with country music you’d be highly mistaken, as so many other forms of music are very popular and prospering there as well.  Nashville is also know as the ‘Athens of the South’ for its historical education roots, and Greek architecture and influence can be felt throughout the area.  They even have a full scale replica of the Parthenon for you to visit that dates back well over 100 years!  But what we’ve always enjoyed about the area are the number of beautiful plantations, mansions and historic sites that welcome visitors — including The Hermitage.  If Whisky is your thing, Nashville and the surrounding areas won’t disappoint.  Here’s a link to our discussion with Butch Spyridon of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corporation …
