The foundation of what is Allegiant Air today dates back nearly 30 years to 1997, but the airline’s operations in 2025 are significantly more robust and diverse as they currently serve more than 120 different cities nationwide, move around 17 million passengers annually and generate over $2.5 Billion in revenue. The company is built to help ensure people who couldn’t easily fly now have that very option. Allegiant flights across their all jet fleet of Boeing 737’s and Airbus A319’s and A320’s don’t follow the typical airline model of running everyday to every city, and this allows them to offer service on underserved route.
Drew Wells has been part of the management team at Allegiant Air for nearly 15 years, and recently took on the Chief Commercial Officer role, where’s he’s directly leading the airlines growth. During our live national broadcast of America’s #1 Travel Radio Show on October 18th 2025, we connected with him for the latest “Chief Travel Leader” conversation, for a wide-ranging discussion on this rapidly growing U.S. Airline.
