Until Michael Zervos came along, the Guinness Book of World Records listed the record breaker for visiting every country in the world by a single person — the fastest — at 554 days.   Today when you look there is a Happy Guy atop that list, and it says “The Fastest Time to Visit all Sovereign Countries is 1 year, 34 days, and was Achieved by Michael Zervos (USA) between 17 January 2024 and 30 May 2025.  What an accomplishment as it computes to about 2.5 countries per day over 499 days!

We last connected with Michael as he was roughly 1/2 way through his record-breaking feat.  Now that he’s accomplished it, we invited him back for a check-in  to get this thoughts on what he achieved and how it’s impacted him — and those he engaged with along the way as he queried their happiness.  During the live national broadcast of America’s #1 Travel Radio Show on October 18th 2025, as part of our “Personal Connection” series, Michael shared all of that and more with us…
