“Personal Connection” Series – Stacey Barber

Stacey Barber, Executive Director
AAA National – American Automobile Association

For many travelers, their connection to travel comes through a reliance and trust on the Diamond ratings issued by the American Automobile Association.  It was back in 1937 that AAA first began inspecting lodgings and restaurants, and 43 years ago in 1977 for the company’s 75th “Diamond” Anniversary that the ratings became know as the AAA Diamond Ratings System for lodging.  They subsequently added the same Diamond destinations for restaurants in 1989.  For 2020, they’ve updated the criteria and presentation once again, and for our latest “Personal Connection” episode, during our 7 March 2020 live broadcast of RMWorldTravel with Robert & Mary Carey and Rudy Maxa, we invited Stacey Barber, AAA’s Executive Director to explain why the changes have occurred and how they’ll benefit travelers.  You can hear the full interview that aired across our network of 410+ affiliates nationwide by clicking on the arrow below …
