Since the Coronavirus upended the world back in early 2020, it’s been a challenging period for many sectors of the Travel World. No sector has experienced a tougher time than Business Travel! New work from home routines, online video conferencing, legal departments or financial decision makers tamping down or suspending travel has made a recovery for Business Travel far slower and uneven. Earlier this year in February, Suzanne Neufang agreed to take on the role of CEO/Executive Director for the Global Business Travel Association — and pretty much from Day 1 she hit the ground running and is doing everything she can to now help support GBTA members and get Business Travel back on track.
As we’re half way though summer, and with an eye toward Fall as many company’s are expected to have employees return to the office post Labor Day — we decided it was a good time to check-in with Suzanne and get a real-time report on current Business Travel happening, what she’s seeing and hearing with regards to a recovery and collectively look ahead.
