Perhaps you’ve read Peter Slatin’s writings in Forbes, or have benefited from the work of his company to undo norms that inhibit success for disabled people when traveling. Peter founded the the Slatin Group to provide education and training to the hospitality and tourism industries with regards to service to consumers with disabilities. They’ve trained thousands of hotel employees across the U.S. so far, and its program is affiliated with the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute. He developed the business to address the kinds of challenges he confronts as a blind traveler and those that are similar to those faced by others with other disabilities.
