We’re often asked with all our world travels where our favorite place to visit is, and the answer is always an easy one for us to answer.  Yes we love Italy, we love a number of wonderful areas of America — but our favorite place is Maui.  It’s where we spent part of our honeymoon, it’s where we first hosted the show — in short, it’s truly special to us in so many ways…

Last year, after the August fires destroyed parts of Lahaina and some areas of Upcountry as well, we felt a strong need to bring the show to the island and help support the locals through volunteering, showcasing local businesses and reporting accurately what the national media wasn’t.  We’re proud of the way our show fans across the nation stepped-up to buy products from local merchants and have them shipped to their homes and businesses.  For 2024, with travel and tourism down to Maui anywhere from 25% to 1/3 depending on who you ask and what stats are quoted — we felt it was again important to bring our large national megaphone to Hawaii’s “Valley Isle” and focus the power of our popular program to help do our part to support Maui, its people, local businesses and simply put — a place we love!

What we genuinely enjoy about travel is all the people who we encounter and the relationships we build, the opportunities it provides to walk in history, savor different culinary flavors, experience new adventures and opportunities, go behind-the-scenes to share insider info and more — all while positively impacting the areas we visit through our week long big “Let’s Go America! Tour” events and live remote broadcast.  There are many destinations worthy of your travel dollars — but for us Maui tops the list.

America’s #1 Travel Radio Show is now heard on 585+ weekly stations across the USA, and our reach exceeds 1.2 million show fans/followers.  It’s a blessing not lost upon us as there simply is not another nationally syndicated travel radio program like ours out there — and everyday we’re thankful for the good fortune that enables RMWorldTravel with Robert & Mary Carey and Rudy Maxa to be the leader in our sector of the Travel World.

Up to 8x’s per year we agree to take the program out of the studio and descend on a location of interest for a week long big “Let’s Go America! Tour”…  These special events culminate with a live remote broadcast of America’s #1 Travel Radio Show from the destination, and they are filled with busy daily itineraries that connect us with so many different sides of the areas we choose to visit — beyond the brochure or easily found activities on a website.  The purpose of each big “Let’s Go America! Tour” is to educate/entice/empower show fans and followers to travel — as we say “Get out from behind the desk, get off the sofa, get out of your comfort zone and go experience and enjoy the world!”  Have and make impact!

During the week of 30 September – 5 October 2024, for the big “Let’s Go America! Tour” – Maui 2024 we showcased an array of activities awaiting you during a visit to Maui, we spotlight local businesses you can order from now and experience a little bit of Maui at your own home or business, and for the first-time ever both of our sons appeared on the program together with us to share some of what they also love about Maui!  This is a special place to come experience and we hope you will.
