Since 2020, the leaders of the American Hotel & Lodging Association have appeared with regularity on America’s #1 Travel Radio Show, and the conversation is always informative, engaging, timely and robust. AHLA represents every segment of the Hotel & Lodging Sector of Travel nationwide, with more than 32,000 member properties, in excess of 1000 corporate members and the Top-10 hotel brands in the industry.
During our September 13th 2025 live national broadcast, we reconnected with both AHLA’s CEO Rosanna Maietta and COO Kevin Carey for a wide-ranging “Chief Travel Leader” conversation that included the positive impact of Congress enacting President Trump’s campaign promise for “No Tax on Tips” and “No Tax on Overtime” as well as ways the hospitality industry will be supporting and celebrating America’s 250th birthday in 2026. We also discussed ways the AHLA Foundation is working to successfully combat human trafficking, the many real issues in Los Angeles thwarting recovering from the fires and its readiness for the upcoming World Cup and Olympic Games, while highlighting some of the hotter domestic hotel markets currently across the U.S. and the increased demand by travelers for beach cottages, cabins and vacation getaway rentals for “soft resets” rather than more traditional and event-heavy trips.
Now that RMWorldTravel with Robert & Mary Carey and Rudy Maxa has been transmitted over satellite and aired across the USA via our 610 weekly radio stations that broadcast the program nationwide, you can access the interview that’s been archived here by simply clicking the play arrow beneath this text …
