How many of you have a fear of flying, or are nervous flyers? With record numbers of passengers taking to the sky each year, we were surprised to learn that two members of our own team — our Travel Producer Melissa Hunter and the show engineer Bobby Belt — both suffer from anxiety and fears when it comes to flying. So for our “Personal Connection” episode during our live broadcast of RMWorldTravel with Robert & Mary Carey and Rudy Maxa on 8 September 2018, we decided to invite Show Friend Captain Tom Bunn back onto the program with us — and stage somewhat of an on-air therapy session to help Melissa, Bobby and others in our audience better grapple with these issues and hopefully learn to enjoy air travel.
