For the vast majority of our special “Destination Spotlight” series in the show, we’ve taken the approach of focusing on “lesser known locations that are worthy of your travel dollars…”  Orlando, Florida certainly is a well-known and a top travel destination — but it’s also a location that offers travels significantly more than just being the “Theme Park Capital of the World.”

If you enjoy getting out on the water — well Orlando is for you since it’s home to more than 100 lakes!  The city also have over 100 parks — and we’re not talking about “theme parks”…  What we appreciate about Orlando is the range of hotels and resorts available to visitors, the diversity of its restaurant scene, it has a vibrant nightlife, Orlando features some terrific golf courses, and it is certainly a lot more than just a “kids town” — catering to couples, multi-generational travel and business travel.  And speaking of  that — from a business stand-point, the city is in the major leagues with all its convention and expo space.  It also has a well run International Airport, and Tampa International to its south provides additional airlift options into the area.
