After 8 years, at the start of 2025, we altered the popular “Destination Spotlight” series of the show to focus on States rather than Cities, with our hosts Robert & Mary Carey doing it alphabetically. That meant Alabama was first and it occurred on Jan 18th 2025. It was followed by Alaska on Feb 1st, Arizona on Feb 8th, Arkansas on Mar 1st, California on Mar 29th, Colorado on Apr 26th, Connecticut on May 10th, Delaware on May 31st, Florida on June 14th, Georgia on June 21st, Hawaii on July 12th, Idaho on July 26th, Illinois on Aug 9th, Indiana on Sept 6th, Iowa was Sept 20th, Kansas on Oct 18th, Kentucky on Oct 25th and Louisiana on Nov 1st, before we turned to the “M” named States with Maine happening on Nov22nd and Maryland on Dec 6th. As the calendar flipped to 2026, because The Careys began the year traveling for 25 days on the big “Let’s Go America! Tour” – Miami to Los Angeles, that had them transiting the Panama Canal as a way to supercharge our America 250 coverage, it meant showcasing Massachusetts on America’s #1 Travel Radio Show didn’t happened until January 31st 2026. But it was worth the wait!
Admitted to the Union back in 1788, Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism Executive Director, Kate Fox, joined Robert & Mary on-air to talk-up America’s 6th State. They chatted about America beginning in Massachusetts and how their America 250 celebrations began in 2025 and will now continue into 2026, covered the range of offerings for travelers from Cape Cod (where The Careys had the show for a big “Let’s Go America! Tour” back in 2022) to Salem, Plymouth Rock, Boston, the Birkshires and more. They also engaged on the upcoming Super Bowl and return appearance by the New England Patriots, as well as all of the colleges and universities that populate the State.
Now that RMWorldTravel with Robert & Mary Carey and Rudy Maxa has successfully transmitted via satellite and aired across the USA on our 615 weekly radio stations, you can access the interview that’s been archived here, just click the play arrow immediately following this text …
