If you want to experience a trip here in America involving the culture of the “wild west” that includes casinos, desert, wedding chapels, a busy nightlife and an array of restaurant choices — you’d probably think Las Vegas.  But over 400 miles away, in the northwestern sector of Nevada, we’d also encourage you to consider Reno.  Known as the “Biggest Little City in the World” Reno is about 45 minutes from Lake Tahoe, a two hour drive northeast of Sacramento — and there are other nearby towns of Carson City and Virginia City for you to experience as well.  Yes, Reno does have a number of popular casinos for you to test your luck at, but it’s also surrounded by the natural beauty of Sierra Nevada Mountains.  For our 63rd “Destination Spotlight”in our popular series, we checked-in with Bob Conrad, the Editor-in-Chief of This is Reno, who helped share some of his city and discuss why it’s a worthy place for your travel dollars.  Located in the 36th State in the Union, that was admitted back in 1849 and is known as the “Silver State” — you can learn more and hear our full interview that ran across our national network of 410+ affiliates, by clicking on the play arrow below …
