“Personal Connection” – Olen & Danae Netteburg

For married Medical Missionaries Danae and Olen Netteburg, helping others is part of who they are as is their shared sense of adventure.  They have 5 kids, which makes “family adventures” a bit more challenging, but they’ve yet to let that stop them.  Looking for something the family could do together, in 2020 Olen, Danae and their then 4 kids at the time set out to thru-hike the nearly 2200 miles of the Appalachian Trail.  They accomplished the goal in 7 months.  Then in 2022 they doubled down and now with their 5 kids chose to hike the 3000+ mile Continental Divide between the U.S. border with Canada and Mexico  — completing it in 6 months.  And then it was on to the 2650 miles of the PCT aka the Pacific Coast Trail.  Some accomplishment!
