It was back in April 2017 that our hosts of America’s #1 Travel Radio Show, Robert & Mary Carey, created the “Destination Spotlight” segment of the program.  The second location featured back then, in what’s become a popular recurring show segment, was Lake Tahoe as part of the live broadcast on 29 April 2017.  Fast forward nearly 7 years, and 117 “Destination Spotlight” segments later, and for the live broadcast on 20 January 2024 they decided it was time to check-in on the area they call “Big Blue”…

Located along the border of California and Nevada, the area is appealing year round.  From skiing, snowmobiling, sledding and skating options during the winter months, to fishing, hiking, biking and related outdoor activities during warmer months of the year — Lake Tahoe offers diverse options to keep travelers engaged.  Lake Tahoe itself is the 10th deepest lake in the world with an average depth of nearly 1000 feet.  There are more than 12 casinos located there, plus you’ll find a mix of nightlife options and restaurants along with resorts, spas and more.  New to the area is the Tahoe Blue Events Center offering concerts, sporting events, convention space, live performances and other forms of entertainment.

Now that our popular national program has been transmitted via satellite across the USA to our 570+ weekly radio stations airing RMWorldTravel with Robert & Mary Carey and Rudy Maxa, you can access the audio archive in .mp3 format of the latest interview with Carol Chaplin, CEO of the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority by simply clicking on the play arrow that follows this text…
